Freckled Fin

This home provided our us and our extended family with a comfortable place to have as a home base through all of our adventures in Anna Maria Island.
Pros:
-Great location - super walkable to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
-Spacious home and each bedroom has its own bathroom
-Comfortable beds
-Very clean
Cons:
-There are no screens on any of the windows, so you can't let in the fresh air, even on a nice day.
-You mostly cannot see the pool area from the house. The kitchen/living room is on the second floor and the view is blocked by the detached suite.
-AMI Locals only provides you with limited 'starter kit' of supplies (1 small bottle of dishwashing soap, 1 tablet for washing clothes, 1 trash bag per trash can etc.). This appears to be the case regardless of how many days you stay.
-Front door keypad lock can take several tries to work. Should probably be replaced.

Great place for families! Huge home with mother in law guest suite. Beautiful area and walkable to restaurants, shops, coffee, and both the bay and the beach! Nice pool and hot tub!

We absolutely loved Freckled Fin, and would definitely book again if we had the opportunity. The location is amazing, we had a golf cart but found that we didn’t really use it much because we enjoyed walking to everything. The street was quiet and the neighbors observed the quiet hours. The pool area is perfect for kids. There is a great shallow part, the hot tub is gets warm very quickly, and there’s a mix of sun and shade depending on the time of day. The decor was beautiful and beachy, everything seemed new, and it was very very clean when we arrived. There’s a tv by the pool area, and my husband loved having whatever football game on while we were all outside. My teenagers really loved the connected mother in law suite because they felt like they had their own little apartment with their own bathroom and mini fridge. The alarms for the pool are a bummer, but they are for safety so I understand the need. This was a last minute vacation for us, and we felt so lucky to get this place!

Property was great and in a perfect location. The child alarms on the doors to protect from kids going out was a bit annoying, but you got used to it. My only comment is in regard to communication with the company in advance. We were scheduled to be there around a week after Hurricane Ian, and got no information or confirmation that everything was ok. I reached out twice and got the, albeit professional, response of basically “we don’t know but enjoy your stay”. We showed up and everything was fine as Ana Maria was mostly unfazed, but we had no idea what we were travelling into.

We surely picked the perfect house. Our group of 7 adults had plenty of space with a king bed in each of the 4 bedrooms. And each bedroom had it’s private bathroom. We utilized the separate bedroom suite across the patio. With 3 generations in our family we had plenty of room. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of pots and dishes. The outside pool was very refreshing after the ocean. AMI was very helpful in fulfilling our requests. The concierge was difficult to get in touch with so plan ahead. Perfect location for our family with some nice little shops on Pine Street. My only suggestion would be to install a fan in pool area. Fun fun fun!!!

Best location on the island, easily. The house is so nice and spacious. It’s HUGE! Plenty of room for everyone to have privacy since there’s a bathroom in every room. Highly recommend! We will definitely return

We had a fantastic end of summer stay at the Freckled Fin. An absolutely beautiful house and amenities - would easily stay here again. Very comfortable and easy to use space - from the seating throughout and kitchen to the great pool area. AMI Locals was very responsive to a few questions we had and the logistics was a breeze. We had a wonderful stay and the House was better in person than in the pictures! It was clean, well stocked and anything you might lack or need, they were quick to provide.
We had an issue with the pool not being completely clean, and even though they took a day to come and take care of it, after that, they would come to clean and check every day, which we appreciated.
The house is big and comfortable for 8 to 10 people, there are plenty of beach towels and a nice laundry room to keep them clean everyday!
Even though the house is a little far from the beach (4 blocks), the walk is nice and enjoyable. And the perk is that the Beach closest to the House is very private and clean!
We would definitely go back!

Fantastic place for our group of 4 couples! Everyone had their own bathrooms, plenty of seating for everyone, pool was amazing and walking distance to everything on the northern part of the island. House was immaculate and well appointed. Will definitely return to the Freckled Fin.

I expected a fabulous place to stay and it was just exactly as I expected. We went with our 3 children and their families (and 5 grandchildren ages 4 and under) and it was the perfect house for us. Loved that each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The 2 upstairs bedrooms with the living area was perfect for the 2 families with small children and the separate suite perfect for the family with no children to get away from all the noise. We (the grandparents) loved having our room on the main floor in the middle of all the action and with one less set of stairs to climb. There are also closets large enough to serve as port-a-crib bedrooms when the wee little ones need to escape for naps or an early bed time.
The house was spotless and the only thing we lacked for our large family was an adequate can opener, which was supplied by the hosts almost immediately after we pointed out the need.
Can’t say enough wonderful things about the property nor how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you AMI Locals!!

Brand new clean beach house with cozy feeling yet luxury finishes. Covered garage can hold three cars plus extra space outdoor. Plenty of floaters and beach equipment. Pool is 5 stars with heated covered jacuzzi for those rainy days. Bbq grill was A+ no issues with gas tanks throughout weekend. TV has cable , kitches is spacious and great for hosting, wifi was all good. A/C during our hot summer/August visit was flawless.
Will definitely return, hopefully when weather is a little bit cooler.
AMI locals had open communication and brought in missing items from kitchen in a timely manner. Would highly recommend staying here.

This home was absolutely beautiful and allowed for much space for all our guests. It was just a short 5 min walk to the beaches and one street over from restaurants and shops. We had an issue with the dishwasher and the rental company was there to address it within an hour. We loved our first visit to AMI and will definitely be returning and using AMI rentals and staying at the “Freckled Fin” .

This house is exactly as described. Absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Perfect location. Just one block to Waterfront restaurant, 2 blocks to Pine Avenue and 9 minutes walk to the Sand Bar. Very quiet street. The service provided by AMI Locals is just impressive. Strongly recommend it.

Pictures do not do the property justice. It is very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful space. Location is great. To continue improvement i would suggest extra blankets in the rooms and some cleaning tools such as a dust pan and mop.

You can still smell the newness of the home. Decorated beautifully and very spacious. Outdoor area was great. Lots of covered outdoor space to take a break from the sun. Quick walk to both beach and pier(being rebuilt)

Beautiful home within blocks of beach and two awesome restaurants (Sandbar and Waterfront). Pics are 100% accurate. Home is virtually brand new with high end finishes particularly baths and kitchens. Everything was super clean and extremely well stocked. Plenty of towels for bath as well as beach. The private guest/mother-in-law suite was perfect for those wanting a bit more privacy, but just a few feet from kitchen/family gathering area. You won't be sorry with this rental. We look forward to returning next year!

What a wonderful home and host! The house was so spacious and comfy. Our group of 7 friends loved the large kitchen to cook meals together, and then pretty much spent the rest of the time at the beautiful pool and spa area. We could walk to the beach to watch the sunset every night. And Traci and the AMI Locals team were great!! We highly recommend, and will definitely stay again next year.
